Task Management

A task in Calipso is called Item. Items exist under the context of a Space workflow. Users can view the history of an Item and get involved by entering comments, user details, status changes, dates etc. according to the Item's workflow and access rights configuration. Team collaboration is further enhanced with document management; Users can upload, review and distribute documents as part of an Item's workflow. Email integration allows an alternative way to submit and create an Item and provides notifications with role-aware history for the appropriate users.

Items can have dependencies and can even be moved to different space workflows. For example, a purchase request from a client within a space acting as a CRM tool can be transfered to the Procurement space in order for the necessary actions to be performed by the appropriate users. Item transfers between independent Calipso installations will also be available soon.
